The reason I am hooked on YU+ME is that I identify with Fiona. I come from a Catholic home that was not accepting of homosexuality (although that has changed somewhat). I was best friends with the girl I loved who said yes to going out with me as long as it was kept a secret, and I was a freckle-faced, glasses wearing, curly haired weirdo. I had friends, but the popular opinion was that I was weird.

So who do you all identify with? And/or why do you love reading YU+ME?

Hi. =) I'm a newbie to the forums, but I've been reading Yu + Me for over a year, and I'm absolutely in LOVE with the Dream World setting. The production of dreams themselves especially intrigues me.

Personally, I believe she is a dream projector: while the actors act out the dreams, things like Clandestine are the ones who actually deliver them to the Dreamers. When they want to project without a recorded dream, perhaps they improvise? Just a thought...

Okay, remember in issue 2 of part 2 there was No-Face guy with all of the awesome teeth? Well, other than establishing Mary's place in the dream world so that she could go to jail and set off the current issue, and showing us the origin of Mr. Bun, the whole thing seems kind of like a Big Lipped Alligator Moment. This is completely speculation and completely unfounded. It was just a brainwave I had. It's more like a "it would be cool if" kind of thing. But...

What if Sadako was born without a head? And she was actually in Fi's dream, playing the roles of Sister Mary and Fi's Step-Mom. I don't think we've ever seen them in the same panel, and they would be ideal roles for Sadako to play to make sure things go the way she wants them to.

I really want to buy the books for this comic but I'm worried my parents will pick them up and say, "What are you reading?" Especially since I haven't come out about how I'm very likely bi, and, well, I don't know how they'd receive the fact that one of my fav. comics involves lesbians.
